HOBOKEN, NJ - A 26-year-old Jersey City man has been arrested following an investigation into the December shooting of a man in Hoboken.
At 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020, Officers Frank Francolino and Colon responded to 310 Jackson Street on the report of a disturbance. When the officers arrived, they encountered a male victim requesting an ambulance for a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital for the single gunshot wound to his leg, which was not considered life-threatening.
Over the past few months, Detective Colon took lead in this investigation and worked alongside other members of the Hoboken Police Department Investigations Bureau to identify Jordan Perez, 26, of Jersey City, as the shooter in this incident. Arrest warrants were issued against Perez, and on Thursday, February 25, Perez turned himself over to the Hoboken Police Department.
Perez is known to local authorities, with previous involvement in a violent incident near that location back in 2016.
Following the arrest process, Perez was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
