FAIRFIELD, NJ - Although most of the Italian festivals in Hudson County were canceled this year due to COVID-19, the county – especially Jersey City – was well represented at the Oct. 11 Heritage Italiana Festival in Fairfield.

The Columbus Day event, held at the Franklin Steak House included Mike Marino, known as New Jersey’s Bad Boy and Jersey City based Jersey Pizza Boys. Marino was born in Jersey City and in 2008 he was inducted into the New Jersey Comedy Hall of Fame. In 2015 he won the USO Bob Hope Comedy Award for his many performances for the military.

The event also featured Uncle Floyd who appeared in Jersey City in 2019 as the host "Borscht X," an evening of comedy to benefit Jersey City's Temple Beth-El.
