JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Red Cross provided help to three families displaced by a Feb. 25 fire on Hague Street in Jersey City, said city officials.

At approximately 7:55 p.m. on the day of the incident the Jersey City Fire department responded to 29 Hague Street. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed a working fire in the attic space within the multi-unit structure. 

The 2-alarm fire was put under control but not before two captains and one firefighter were transported to the Medical Center where they were treated and released following minor injuries. The origin and cause are under investigation, city spokesperson Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.
