JERSEY CITY, NJ - Three co-defendants were indicted by a Grand Jury in Hudson County last week in relation to the July 6, 2020 fatal shooting of 17-year-old Tyeah Garner on Rutgers Avenue in Jersey City. 

According to a statement by Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, Heavenley Cherry, 19, is charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Jahquell Carter, 25, was also charged in the indictment with Murder as an Accomplice; Conspiracy to Commit Murder; Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes; Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Resisting Arrest by Flight.

Izmae Tinker-Trent, 19, was charged in the indictment with Hindering a Murder Investigation
