HOBOKEN - A Jersey City woman was busted for allegedly breaking into cars near Hoboken's main drag over the Memorial Day weekend.

Shortly after 8:20 p.m. on Sunday, Hoboken Police Officers Jonathan Lyons & Francis McCourt responded to the 500 block of Washington Street on a report of a female entering parked vehicles.  

Sabrina Jones, 33, Jersey City, was found on 5th Street between Washington and Bloomfield Streets. Upon investigation, HPD were able to determine that had entered a vehicle and removed items from within. She was placed under arrest and charged with Burglary and Theft for her actions. The officers were able to locate the property and return it to the victims.

Officers also discovered that Jones entered a second vehicle in that immediate area. She was charged a second count of Burglary for her actions pertaining to the second vehicle.       

Ultimately, officers recovered all stolen property with had an approximate value less than $100.00 dollars.   

It was later determined that Jones had an open warrant from Newark which she was provided a new appearance date for.

All charges were placed on a summons and after the arrest process was complete she was released with her summons to appear in court.

Jones is considered innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
