HOBOKEN, NJ - Police have arrested a Jersey City man for burglarizing a car in Hoboken, months after he was arrested for the same offense. Lonnie Clark, 39, was involved in a similar incident in April during which he allegedly tried to disarm a police officer.
Shortly after 1:30 on Wednesday the Hoboken Police responded to 3rd and Hudson Street on the report of a male entering a parked vehicle. Observing Clark enter the vehicle both a witness and the owner yelled towards him. Clark quickly exited the vehicle and began to run away, but was ultimately apprehended by Sergeants Francisco Rosa and Peter Zanin without incident. Clark was arrested by Officer Liana Palladino and charged with Burglary. After the arrest process was complete, he was transported to Hudson County Correctional Facility.
During Clark's arrest in April, he allegedly grabbed an officer's gun, attempted to grab holsters of other officers and injured several HPD officers—biting one in the shin and leaving another out of service with a hand injury.
Earlier this month, Clark was involved in a DUI accident that injured a half-dozen people in Bergen County.
