HOBOKEN, NJ – Maridian Properties, a Hoboken-based real estate developer and property manager with more than 100,000 square feet of commercial space and 200 residential units under management, has implemented a detailed re-occupancy plan that allows its commercial tenants and corporate employees to return to the workplace in a safe and healthy manner.
The plan includes enhanced cleaning procedures and safety protocols, as well as new policies that make it easier to meet social distancing guidelines and decrease individual exposure, according to Mario Fini, Founder and Managing Director of Maridian Properties. They include:
- New disinfecting measures, including continuous and intensified disinfecting of all common areas, restrooms, stairwells, and touchpoint surfaces.
- New hand sanitizing stations in lobbies and common areas.
- New signage with PPE and social distancing reminders.
- New procedures in place for limited-capacity elevator usage to help maintain social distancing.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided to company employees.
- Training for maintenance staff on proper sanitizing procedures, site-specific protocols, and use and disposal of PPE.
- Additional trash receptacles in lobbies for responsible disposal of PPE.
In its own corporate offices, Maridian Properties has installed plexiglass shields between workspaces, as recommended by Cushman & Wakefield’s “Safe Six: Workplace Readiness Essentials” checklist. The shields provide an added level of separation between team members. Maridian Properties is also providing the plexiglass installation service to its commercial tenants who wish to implement it in their own workspaces, at a subsidized cost.
