“This was an exciting game and both teams played to win,” said John Jay coach Debbi Walsh. “Scarsdale played a beautiful game and is well coached.  I’m so proud that my girls stayed calm under pressure, stuck to our game plan and were able to execute our offensive corners. Ella Blum had a beautiful game and was a part of all three goals. My midfielders were tested today and pushed themselves to the very end. I asked my team to come out as a united front and they did not disappoint me.”
