BEDFORD, N.Y. - A drive-thru COVID-19 test collection site that opened in Bedford is now taking residents of Lewisboro and Pound Ridge as well as their first responders are employees

 All towns are sharing in the services, such as police coverage, which are needed for the operation of the facilities. 

The facility is located at the Bedford Hills train station commuter lot No. 4 and is operated by Murphy Medical Associates.

The site is for collection only, no testing of samples will be done at the site.

According to Bedford Supervisor Chris Burdick, on May 5, the second day of operation nasal swabs were collected from 138 people. On Saturday, May 2, there were 128. 

The Bedford Hills drive-through facility will resume Saturday, May 9, and again on Wednesday, May 13, from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. If you wish to use the facility, you need to register at https://coronatestct.com/ to schedule an appointment (physician referral is not necessary; you will need to provide certain information including for insurance, but you will be able to utilize the facility if you do not have insurance. No cost, no pay, no billing.

The site is open from 8-10 a.m. to first responders only. Registration closes at 10 p.m. the night before the test site opens and re-opens at 10 a.m. the day the test site opens. 

Those who arrive without an appointment may be asked to leave the line and register, if registration is open at such, so also may be asked to return when the facility is open next and after registering.
