LEWISBORO, N.Y. - A Memorial Day parade organized by the Goldens Bridge Hamlet Organization will begin at 10:30 a.m. near the train station. It will conclude with a ceremony at the Goldens Bridge Community House.
The town of Lewisboro's Memorial Day parade will form at 11:45 a.m. at the intersection of Spring Street and Lake Shore Drive, South Salem, and step off at 12:15 p.m. for the march to the Town House. There, Town Supervisor Peter Parsons will lead a ceremony that includes guest speaker Lewisboro Police Sgt. David Alfano, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Memorial Day Fair and Races
The festivities will begin with the 43rd annual Memorial Day Fair and Races:
• 10K – 8 a.m.
• 5K – 9:30 a.m.
• Mile Fun Run – 10:45 a.m.
The Challenge Run gives participants an additional chance to compete with a combined total in both the 10K and the 5K races. All runners will receive a race T-shirt.
Children ages 2 to 8 may compete in the Pee Wee Races immediately after the Mile Fun Run, with the first 250 children receiving a ribbon prize and T-shirt.
Online registration was scheduled to be available through the church’s website, southsalempc.org, until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, May 23. Registration on race day starts at 7 a.m. on the Lewisboro Library lawn, at 15 Main St., South Salem.
The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, at South Salem Presbyterian Church, 111 Spring St. The fair will feature live music, food trucks, food and retail vendors, and more.
The South Salem Art Show will be held in the sanctuary of the church. All works are priced at $600 or below. A Preview Party will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 26, and will feature wine, hors d'oeuvres and live music by Vince Castellucci.
