To Our Valued Community,
Right now we are going through some crazy times. Our volume of information on the COVID-19 virus is overwhelming, to say the least. Bigger than the volume of communication we are receiving is the impact COVID-19 is having on all our lives.
We started with schools being closed, and then it was shopping malls and hair salons. Now all non-essential businesses are closed as of 8 p.m. Sunday, March 22.
We have heard from our valued clients who are impacted by these various situations, including school workers paid hourly, hair salons shutting doors, contractors worried about staff on jobs, and families worried about investments and 401k values. The list goes on and on.
We have heard from our neighbors and community members, all feeling the effects of this COVID-19 pandemic. We know some of you are frightened at the prospects of paying your utilities, rent, mortgage, debt and payroll. Here’s a list of resources to help you get the information you need for your specific situation:
NYS Official Website with Information for Individuals and Employers Relating to Rights and Opportunities:
The state has changed eligibility periods and coverages to assist in receiving the resources you may be eligible for.
NYS Guidance on Businesses Workforce Reduction:
US Legislation from Introduction to Becoming Law:
This is updated as any bill goes through the process of being enacted into law.
We will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available regarding options and opportunities for our situations. We appreciate you as a member of our community and for doing your part to help us beat this together. We are here to help you and are always available for your needs through phone, email or teleconference.
Most importantly, we need to keep our focus on the good in these trying times. Our families, our social connections, our group support, our love and our faith.
Yours in Safety and Health,
