How do you see your role on the team, and how do much do you value being a leader?

Currently injured, my role is to pass on my four years of experience, help our young team and be a positive energy from the sideline. Having played under so many great captains and leaders, I see how important it is to step up and lead.

What is your favorite activity, pregame or postgame ritual that you share with your teammates?

Getting to hear Jess Leff sing the national anthem.

Do you or the team have any goals for this season?

I really believe this team will make a good run in the postseason. A lot of talent, our goal is to play hard every game and get better as a team every day.

Who has been your biggest role model over the years and what have you learned from them?

Since fifth grade, my biggest role model has been Ana Dorta. She’s an unbelievable leader and knows how to support everyone around her.

Tell us one thing about yourself that not a lot of people know.

I am terrified of fish.

Do you plan to play basketball in college?  If yes, where are you going and why did you choose that school?

No, but I will be playing lacrosse at Sacred Heart University. I chose this school because it is an amazing athletic environment and has great academics. I will be studying in the business school, but I am not sure what in specific.

Who is your favorite professional athlete?

Russell Wilson.

What is your favorite music to listen to while warming up for a game?

Anything by Trippie Redd or Meek Mill.

If I could have one power it would be?

Telekinesis, so I could close my door without moving after my mom leaves it open when she leaves my room.

If you could pick one place to visit on vacation that you’ve never been to, where would you go and why?

The Maldives. It’s just really pretty and seems super relaxing.

Favorite food to eat before a game?

A pack of gushers.

Favorite place to eat locally?

Peppino’s Ristorante (Katonah). My family always eats there or gets takeout.

Favorite Social Media platform? Why?

Tik Tok. It’s so entertaining. I could stay on that app for hours.

What would you tell younger John Jay athletes about your experience with the basketball program?

John Jay basketball programs are one of the most inclusive and fun communities I’ve ever been apart of. I would never trade my past four years with this program for anything. I would tell every young player to continue to play all the way through high school. It is 100 percent worth it. The culture and environment is one of a kind.
