Baseball: David Brearley Defeats Roselle Catholic 8-5 in Home Game

KENILWORTH, NJ – David Brearley Varsity Baseball won against Roselle Catholic, 8-5, in yesterday’s home game.

Sophomore Vinny Rappa scored one run with two RBI’s and senior Antonio Sacca had one hit with two RBI’s to lead Brearley to victory.

Seniors Joe Scanio and Jesse Goncalves each had two runs, with Goncalves adding an RBI. Senior Ryan Griffin and junior Nick Ferrante added a run each with Griffin batting two RBI’s.

Griffin pitched three innings and struck out one. Junior Danny Smith pitched four innings and struck out three.

David Brearley will face Roselle Park today at 4 p.m. in Kenilworth.
