Boy Scout Volunteer Opportunities

Hi, folks! As a Boy Scout volunteer who is involved at the local, District and Council level, I'd like to make an appeal to anyone who might have some history or interest in Scouting.

Munsee District, which Kenilworth is part of, is in need of new volunteer leaders. But we're not necessarily talking about people to wear a uniform and work directly with our boys & young men (although we'd be very happy to have you in one of those roles). We need volunteers who can help us organize, plan & execute our regional Scouting program!
There are "formal" District positions we need to fill, which require some commitment over time; but it would be just as helpful to have additional volunteers who can work on specific occasional events.

Many people think that you need to have been a Scout, or you need to have a son in Scouting, in order to get involved- but that's not true! Sure, it helps if you have some personal experience with the Scouting Program. But if you have a knack for organizing, an appreciation for community service, or a desire to work with our youth to help them become tomorrow's leaders, I can tell you that we would welcome your assistance.

So if anyone might be interested, or if you have any questions, please contact Munsee's District Executive at Patriots Path Council, Will Adams, at will.adams@scouting.org. I myself am the current District Membership Chair; so if you'd like to discuss anything with someone more local, you can reach me at bob.vcmembershipmunsee@gmail.com.

One last thing- think outside the box, too! If you know anyone who used to be involved with Scouting... like a parent, aunt, uncle, family friend, or even a Scout who's all grown up now, please pass this along to them, too! Even if they aren't in a position to help right now, Scouting has a great Alumni network that would love to hear about where they are now!

Thanks for your time and consideration!
