Brearley Middle and High School March Students of the Month Announced


KENILWORTH, NJ - David Brearley Middle and High School Students of the Month for March were recently announced. What follows is a press release issued by the school district.

The David Brearley High School student of month, is a conscientious senior who always strives for excellence in whatever endeavor he pursues. Senior Jonathan Zobek is a top student who carries a full load of challenging classes, including AP.

His excellent academic record earned him membership in the David Brearley chapter of the National Honor Society.  Jonathan is also an active member of Bears That Care, acquiring donations and participating in many events and fundraisers. Last year Jonathan took the initiative to create his own bracelet fundraiser for a local children’s hospital.

The eighth grade student of the month representing David Brearley Middle School, is Jorge Vargas. He is a quiet student who is respected by both his peers as well as his teachers. Jorge always wants to do his best in whatever task he is prompted to do.

Jorge is a student that will not sit back if he doesn’t understand a concept in class, he will take a proactive approach and asks questions to clarify. This not only helps Jorge but the all of his peers in the class.

Overall Jorge is known by his teachers to be polite, helpful, and willing to help his teacher and classmates with anything that they may need. His kind and cheerful disposition makes him a pleasure to have in class and as this positive model is an asset to David Brearley Middle School.
