Brearley Soccer Earns a Spot in the State Finals

KENILWORTH, NJ – David Brearley boys soccer defeated Waldwick, 1-0, in overtime, in the NJSIAA Group 1, Semifinal Round, for a chance to play in the championship game.

Andrew Lomnicki scored the only goal of the game, 2:04 into overtime.  In goal, Juan Matrinez saved all six shots he faced.

The Bears will look to earn its second state title in three years, when they play Schalick in the Group 1 championship, Sunday Nov.22, 5:30 p.m., at Kean University in Union.
