Brearley Softball Shuts Out Somerset Tech in First Round of States

KENILWORTH, NJ – Michelle Capizzano pitched four innings of no-hit ball, to help Brearly softball shutout Somerset Tech 15-0, in the NJSIAA Tournament, First Round, North Jersey, Section 2, Group 1, Monday in Kenilworth.

Also contributing for the Bears were Olivia Cristello who went 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI; Erin O’Boyle had a hit with three RBIs; Alyssa Filippone added two hits, two runs and two RBIs; Nikki Smith with two hits, two runs and an RBI and Katrina Jarvis who had a hit with three runs.

The Bears will play Ridgefield in the quarterfinals, Wednesday May 25 at home.
