KENILWORTH, NJ - The Colòn Trained Wrestling School recently competed in the SEPA Reverses For A Cure Tournament for Suzanne Zawacki, a Kenilworth resident, mom, coach, and Union Township teacher who fought and beat breast cancer.
Led by Coach John Calderon, a Kenilworth resident who wrestled for Brearley under Coach Joe Lospinosa he took the boys to Newtown, Pennsylvania where the tournament was held. The wrestlers who participated were: Nicky Pallitto (Kenilworth) Alex Piotowicz (Kenilworth) Abe Zaretsky, Ethan Guzman, Rocco Negron, Mikey Perna, Gabriel Monoghan, and Christian Stocker.
The boys had a great showing with Pallitto and Zaretsky capturing the gold, Stocker and Guzman winning silver, and Piotrowicz and Negron getting bronze. “Great wrestling all-around” Coach Calderon said. “Proud of the boys as always!”
