KENILWORTH, NJ - Welcome to Cooking in Kenilworth. Each week TAPintoKenilworth will showcase a new recipe. This week is Tomato Basil French Toast created by Kenilworth twins Christopher and Jonathan Zobek.

We had some tomato basil bread from Panera lying around and thought it would be fun to make some savory French Toast. We cracked four eggs into a bowl, added a 1/4 cup whole milk, whisked, and combined other spices that we had in the house, such as Italian seasoning, garlic powder, garlic and herb, crushed basil, and a few drops of Worcestershire sauce. We didn’t measure anything, we just threw it in the custard. It’s just important to be generous with the spices.
