Kenilworth NJ – At the Wednesday night Town Council Meeting Linda Karlovitch, Council President and Chair of the Finance Committee spoke about the town’s recent audit. The following is the official statement read by Karlovitch.

Dear Resident,

As Chair of the Finance Committee I wanted to bring to your attention the good news regarding the fiscal condition of Kenilworth.  We are in full compliance with all requirements.

The 50 page audit was performed by Suplee, Clooney & Company, Certified Public Accountants.  It said the audit “is performed in accordance with government auditing standards in considering the Borough of Kenilworth internal control and compliance.”

The report is available for public review at the municipal clerk’s office.  I believe it demonstrates the efforts by the Mayor and Council to provide cost effective government.

The state imposed 2% cap and the pressures to provide services are significant.  This audit demonstrates a successful effort. As always, I welcome your comments at L.Karlovitch@kenilworthnj.org
