David Brearley February Students of the Month


KENILWORTH, NJ - The David Brearley High School Student of the Month for February is senior Gabriella Angrisano. Angrisano is a solid academic student who also participates in sports and other leadership activities. She is a conscientious student who is respected by staff and students alike. 

Angrisano is a member of the Brearley girls’ soccer team, a senior captain, and a three-year letter winner. As a participant in the high school Peer Advisory program, she led a successful Girl Empowerment seminar with the seventh-grade girls. Last year the accomplished senior was honored with the Union County Unsung Hero Award for 2015-16.

The David Brearley Middle School Student of the Month is Ryan Tyra. This seventh-grade student is known for his kindness towards others and always respectful of his peers and teachers.

Tyra is currently a member of Bruins that Care where he is always willing to help with the various projects. Most recently he helped with the food drive where every day he had to account for the “food items” and bring them to office. 

The middle-schooler is a conscious student that advocates for himself and is a goal-setter. He is always looking to improve in his academics and will go out of his way to help a friend.

Celebrate Holy Week at First Congregational Church

First Congregational Church invites visitors of all ages to observe Holy Week with special services beginning on Palm Sunday, March 25, and continuing through Easter Sunday on April 1, in the sanctuary at 125 Elmer Street in Westfield.
