KENILWORTH, NJ - On Wednesday night David Brearley High School held a successful school spirit event which included a Pep Rally, the Homecoming Ceremony, a DJ, free food, and the annual Powder Puff game. The event was sponsored by the Kenilworth Education Association who covered the cost for the DJ and snacks.

The KEA is made up of teachers, guidance counselors, secretaries, custodians, nurses, librarians, and various other members of staff. The KEA does not include any administrators or parents and the association says they want the community to know that they “care beyond the classroom walls.”

The Powder Puff Tournament was very lively. Participants said with everything going on they were so glad they could play this year. The freshman class beat the sophomores 7-0 and the juniors defeated the seniors 21-0. Spanish teacher Sra. Johanna Quintero a Senior Class 2021 Advisor, Co-Chair of the PRIDE committee for the Kenilworth Education Association, and member of the KEA said “I loved seeing the smiles on the kid's faces.”
