David Brearley High School’s Theater Department is set to bring a familiar murder mystery to life this December in “Clue: On Stage.”

Based on the classic Hasbro board game “Clue” and the 1985 movie with the same title, “Clue: On Stage” spins a high-spirited tale of murder, mystery and mayhem. Performances for the play will be held at the David Brearley High School auditorium on December 6 & 7 at 7 p.m.

“Clue: On Stage” takes place in the 1950's, where six strangers—Colonel Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mr. Green and Mrs. White— are invited to a dinner party in the mansion of the mysterious Mr. Boddy. But the guests are in for an unpleasant surprise: Mr. Boddy has been blackmailing each of them and threatens to expose their secrets unless one of them kills his butler, Wadsworth (whom he has also blackmailed). When Mr. Boddy himself winds up getting killed, chaos breaks loose in the mansion and the guests are left scrambling to discover the identity of the killer…who could very well be one of them.

Tickets for “Clue: On Stage” are $8 ($5 with student ID) and may be purchased at the door the day of the show.
