David Brearley's Jesse Goncalves Selected to Union vs. Essex All-Star Game

KENILWORTH, NJ – A David Brearley High School baseball player was selected to play in the 2016 Union vs. Essex County Underclassmen All-Star game.

Junior outfield Jesse Goncalves will take the field representing the Bears in the all-star game.

The game will showcase the talent of the underclassmen, for college coaches who will be in attendance.

According to Brearley head coach, Joe Capizzano, Goncalves is a dedicated player that works very hard at his craft and strives to be the best at what he does.

“He leads by example and his teammates follow his lead, they respect the hard working player that he is. Jesse has been a very consistent player over the last two years and has led the team in many offensive categories,” said Cappizzano.

The seventh Essex-Union Underclassmen All-Star Game is set for a 6 p.m. first pitch, Monday, June 20, at Kean University’s Jim Hynes '63 Baseball Stadium on the campus in Union.
