KENILWORTH, NJ – Please see the important message from Mayor Linda Karlovitch.

The situation we face is fast moving and uncertain. I understand how challenging it is and the major disruption in how we lead our lives. Sacrifices, lost jobs and wages, social gatherings, and family celebrations to mention a few. Please take your responsibility to respond to this virus seriously. Please stay home and follow the rules and guidelines set by our Governor. We have to make every effort to try to limit the spread of bacteria and viruses.

While Borough offices remain closed, We have prepared to pay outstanding bills, and the necessary functions of Municipal government will continue to take place. We continue to conform to all requirements.

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank the remarkable actions of our Borough Clerk, Public Works Department, Police Department, Chief of Police and Council President Clementi who have worked so hard to keep borough functions operating.

I have and will continue to participate in a series of conferences with state, county and local officials, staying on top of the latest developments and information available.

The true hero’s in our community, our first responders, please remember them. They are out there selflessly doing what they do, putting themselves at risk to continue to serve our community during this pandemic, many without pay. We are blessed and fortunate to have so many outstanding men and woman in our circle dedicating their lives to helping others. On behalf of the borough I want to say Thank you for your daily dedication. We are grateful to you and we recognize your extraordinary commitment and strength. I continue to be inspired by your example. It is up to every single one of us to honor their service and their sacrifice.

Kenilworth currently has eight cases of COVID-19. We are monitoring this very closely and I ask the community to please be kind to each other

As always if I can be of additional service to you please do not hesitate to contact me. We are all in this together, we will get through this together. Please stay safe, stay strong, stay healthy and stay home.
