KENILWORTH, NJ – Harding Elementary School students recently visited Borough Hall to learn about government and see police operations.
The student council of Harding Elementary School were escorted down the street by Detective Pickton, who brought the students into the detective house and the police department.
“The student council members were excited to see police operations taking place in front of their eyes,” Superintendent Dr. Thomas Tramaglini said. “They even had an opportunity to check out the jail cells.”
Later on, the students learned about Kenilworth history and the election process from Mayor Anthony DeLuca and learned about law by Kenilworth Police Chief John Zimmerman.
“Students also had an opportunity to get a tour of a fully equipped police car,” Tramaglini said. “It was a wonderful and memorable day for the Student Council members.”
