KENILWORTH, NJ – David Brearley Middle High School held its annual transition day for 6th grade Harding Elementary School students on Thursday. The day was an opportunity for the middle school students to learn their new surroundings.
Harding students met with the High School peer advisors and participated in a scavenger hunt to find rooms like the nurse’s office, the gym and more.
“Overall, the students had a great time working and learning from their peers and look forward to attending David Brearley Middle High School in September,” Superintendent Dr. Thomas Tramaglini wrote in his weekly roundup.
Additionally, Harding students had a chance to ask the older students questions and learn about their clubs, classes and daily schedule.
“A special thank you goes out to Mrs. Harrison and Ms. Spampinato for organizing the event,” Tramaglini wrote. “It also would not be possible without the assistance of Mrs. Bechtler and Mrs. Schau along with the help of the High School Peer Advisors, the Middle School Student Council, and the Middle School Peer Leaders.”
