Hockey: Facchini Shuts the Door, Dayton-Brearley-Union win 1-0

NEWARK, NJ – The Bulldogs traveled to the Barnabas Health Hockey House at the Prudential Center for an afternoon game against Newark East Side High School.  The Bulldogs were out shot four to one, but that did not matter.  They came away with a 1-0 victory.

Nick Facchini, the Bulldogs goalie stopped all 44 shots, while his counterpart, Nick Camara faced just 11 shots.  He stopped all but one.

In the third quarter, the Bulldogs' Joe Triano scored the difference maker on an assist by Jeremy Greiss.

For the season, Facchini has stopped 259 of 290 shots and two of his last four games were shutouts.

The Bulldogs are now 3-5-1 on the season and 1-3 in their division.  Their next game is 7:45 p.m. Saturday against division rival West Orange High School at the Codey Arena.
