Kenilworth Police Department Announce Promotions

KENILWORTH, NJ - The Kenilworth Police Department under the command of Chief John Zimmerman announced recent promotions that were made within the department on May 1. 

Sergeant Fred Soos Jr. was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and Detective Michael Scanielo was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. 

Soos, a 21-year-veteran was most recently assigned to the patrol division as a Sergeant.  Soos has also had a prior assignment in the detective bureau.  He will be resuming his role in the patrol division as a Lieutenant overseeing line supervision.  

Scanielo, a 13-year-veteran was most recently assigned to the Detective Bureau and is currently serving as the department’s accreditation manager. Scanielo will be reassigned to the patrol division as a shift supervisor.
