KENILWORTH, NJ – The Kenilworth Police Department will participate in “Operation Tale Back” at the end of October.

Operation Take Back is an initiative launced by New Jersey’s Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to prevent the abuse of prescription medications. To do so, local police departments collect and dispose of unused, unwanted and expired medicine.

“Residents are invited to bring in unused, unwanted and expired prescription medications to police headquarters and surrender them for safe destruction,” the Kenilworth Police Department said on their website.

Residents are asked to deliver their medications on Saturday, Oct. 28 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. No syringes or sharp items will be accepted. All participants are asked to remove personal labels prior to turning them in.
