KENILWORTH, NJ – The Kenilworth Public Library has announced its eighth annual LibraryFest, scheduled for August 10.

LibraryFest is a chance for participants in the library’s programs to celebrate their accomplishments.

During LibraryFest, participants can take part in interactive science experiments presented by Wondergy, watch magician Francis Menotti perform sleight of hand tricks, visit with Paso Fino horses in the parking lot and receive a special gift. The kids will also receive a special balloon sculpture made by Mark Dolson.

“Families attending LibraryFest should anticipate a 45-minute time frame for participation in all of the evening's events and all children in attendance must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult,” Robin Koerner, coordinator of children’s services at the library, said.

No registration is required for the event as it has been funded by The Friends of The Kenilworth Public Library and a recycling grant given to the Borough of Kenilworth, Koerner said.

The event will be an open house between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 10.
