KENILWORTH, NJ – The Kenilworth Public Library held its 8th Annual LibraryFest this week.

The event offered games, animals, magic shows and more for children and their families to enjoy.

According to Robin Koerner, director of children’s services at the library, Library Gest “celebrates the reading accomplishments of all the children who participated in the library’s reading club this summer.”

The activities included science experiments by Wondergy, balloon sculptures specially created by Mark Dolson from Wings of Magic, and saw a magic show by magician Francis Menotti.

“Everyone marveled at the sleight of hand and received a special gift from the library,” Koerner said.

Kenilworth kids also visited with two dogs from Seeing Eye in Morristown and Sparkee, the mascot of the Somerset Patriots.

LibraryFest was funded by the Friends of the Kenilwortth Public Library and a recycling grant given to the borough.
