Kenilworth Public Library to Hold Series of Cartooning Workshops

KENILWORTH, NJ – The Kenilworth Public Library will host a series of cartooning workshops through the summer months. The workshops are presented by cartoonist Doug Baron for children ages 8 and older, teenagers and adults.

The first workshop is scheduled for June 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Additional workshops will be held on July 11, July 25 and August 1 at the same time.

“Learn how to draw various cartoon characters and improve artistic skills,” Robin Koerner, Coordinator of Children’s Services at the Library, said.

All supplies will be provided and each workshop will focus on a different theme. Registration is required and can be done by Kenilworth residents one week prior to each workshop by calling the library at 908-276-2451 or in person. Out of town residents may register for each workshop two days prior.

The workshops are funded by the Les Malamut Art Gallery.
