Meet and Learn about Alpacas at the Kenilworth Public Library

KENILWORTH, NJ- The Kenilworth Public Library will host a program for children and adults to learn about alpacas on Thursday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m.

The 45-minute workshop will be lead by Colin and Joy Scott, owners of the Highland Airs Alpaca Ranch in Hackettstown, N.J.

“Children ages four and up and adults will have an opportunity to meet an alpaca from the ranch and learn about these beautiful animals,” Robin Koerner, coordinator of children’s services at the library, said.

According to the Highland Airs Alpaca Ranch website, the animals are sweet, friendly and highly curious. They also communicate through humming and are able to recognize humans and commands. 

Registration is mandatory and begins for Kenilworth residents on Thursday, April 20. Residents of other towns can register on Thursday, April 25. Registration can be done by calling the library at 908-276-2451 or by visiting the library at 548 Boulevard.
