Kenilworth Cub Scout Pack 83 promoted 15 Cub Scouts to Boy Scout Troop 83 during a “crossing over” ceremony on March 4th at St. Theresa’s School.  The ceremony was the highlight of the Pack’s annual Blue & Gold dinner in which dozens of scouts are presented their rank and activity and skill awards earned over the course of the past year in front of family and friends.

“All of the scouts work tremendously hard to earn their ranks and badges.  I am proud of each and every one of them,” said incoming Cubmaster John Ondrey.  “It is an honor to see these young men learning skills they will use for their rest of their lives.  None of this is possible without the hard work of parents and volunteers throughout the year.”

The 15 scouts in the highest rank of Webelos earned their “Arrow of Light” honors, the top award for Cub Scouts, making them eligible for promotion to Boy Scouts.  The boys were welcomed into Troop 83 by the scouts and their scoutmaster, John Gasper
