KENILWORTH, NJ- Registration for the Kenilworth Recreation Department’s summer camp is now open for kids going into kindergarten from kids going into seventh grade.
The estimated start date for summer camp is June 26 and runs Monday through Friday at the Harding Elementary School gym from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. After care extends until 6:30 p.m.
“Our goal for the Kenilworth Recreation Summer Camp is to provide for the social, mental, and physical growth of the camper,” the rec department wrote on its website. “This is done through a variety of activities in a safe and fun environment. We are here to help the children to engage in activities with their peers and learn new skills under the supervision of the counselors.”
The camp costs $75 per child for five days of camp and $45 per child for three days. The activities will include sports, games, arts and crafts, movies and more, according to the website.
“iPods, iPads, game boys, Nintendo DS, cell phones, etc. are strictly prohibited from camp,” the website reads. “If any child is found with one it will be taken away and returned to the parent upon picking up your child.”
The department asks that parents please provide water for their children and lunch for Monday through Thursday, with the department providing lunch on Friday. Sneakers for every child are also required.
More information and registration can be found on the department website.
