First Congregational Church of Westfield invites all trivia buffs to a special Trivia Night, Dinner and Silent Auction on Friday, May 5, from 7 to 10 pm at the Italian American Club, 1976 Valley Avenue in Scotch Plains, NJ. The evening is a fundraiser for the church's Youth Mission Trip to Denver, Colorado this summer. Come and match your wits against other teams to win valuable prizes and bragging rights!
Doors open at 7:00 pm and the Trivia Quiz, hosted by a professional quizmaster, will begin promptly at 7:45 pm. A dinner of salad, baked ziti, pizza, bread and desserts with water and soda will be provided; participants may also BYOB. The wait staff for the evening will be the mission trip youth. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on several silent auction items to benefit the mission trip.
Admission is $35 per person or $325 for teams (up to 10 people). Please make checks payable to First Congregational Church and note "trivia – mission trip" on the memo line. Checks may be sent to First Congregational Church of Westfield, 125 Elmer Street, Westfield, NJ 07090.
This is the tenth consecutive summer that the church has participated in volunteer work. Previous mission trips have included sites in New Orleans, Ohio, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Wyoming, San Antonio, Vermont, Chicago and Washington, DC. Fundraisers held throughout the year, including a pancake breakfast, and spaghetti supper and talent show, help underwrite the cost of travel. The trivia night replaces the church's spring tag sale.
