KENILWORTH, NJ – The Bears Varsity Football Team dominated their biggest rival Roselle Park at home on Friday, October 16, with a leading score 56-14. The Bears now stand 2-1 in the Union Division standings going strong.

Highlights included Danny Ramos with two passing touchdowns, Derek Graichen and Quinn Lonergan with two touchdowns, and Matt Sims and Connor Hannon with one receiving touchdown each.

Team members had positive and constructive thoughts to say. “Last night's game was so fun running around the swampy field,” Graichen said. “We had a game plan set on offense, and we executed. Our defense played a great game keeping them in check. Our offensive line did a great job leading the way.” Ramos stated “It was a very nice team win last night. Always good to get a big win against a rival of ours. Every guy had focus and brought energy throughout the week and during the game.” Hannon said, “It felt good to be out there last night and get a win after a solid week of practice. If we can keep this up and continue to play like this we’ll be okay.” And last Sims said, “This week's game wasn’t like other games it was our cross-town rivals Roselle Park. The hype for this game is always high. The field conditions were bad which meant our focus needed to 100%. I am very lucky to be lead by a great bunch of seniors.”

The Bears look to build off this win as they take on the Destroyers next Friday, October 23, at 7:00 p.m. at Columbia Park.
