KENILWORTH, NJ – Friday October 25, over 100 residents of the Kenilworth community came to the fun-filled family event Carve it Out Kenilworth. Created by Councilwoman Linda Karlovitch and hosted by the Borough, participants had the opportunity to carve a pumpkin to bring to the pumpkin patch to win a prize. There were over 30 carved pumpkins that entered the contest. First, second, and third place prizes were won for the categories funniest, scariest, and most original.

Patrons enjoyed live music from Joe Caroselli and Masterpiece along with donuts, hot apple cider, and a beer garden with Kenilworth’s own Two Ton Brewing that brought a seasonal and pumpkin ale. There was also face painting, a glitter tattoo artist, and balloon artist by Neha. It was a great time had by all. “I had heard about Carve it Out all week from the kids, they loved it and can’t wait until next year” Recreation Director Pat Boyle said. The event was made possible through a Union County Heart Grant that Karlovitch received.
