KENILWORTH, NJ – Reece Gray and Zoe Banks have been named this week’s David Brearley High School Athletes of the Week.

Reece Gray is a senior at David Brearley High School and has been running track for six years. He originally is from London, England and moved to Kenilworth when he was a freshman. Gray runs the 100,200,400, 4x100 and 4x400. His best sports memory is placing top three in the conference for the 100m last year. His favorite soccer team is Liverpool. In his spare time Gray likes to play guitar, and he also plays for the school jazz band.

Zoe Banks is a senior and grew up in Elizabeth. She first came to David Brearley in Middle School.  Banks started playing basketball her freshman year. “Looking back at my freshman year, I am glad that my friends Amber and Paige convinced me to try out for the basketball team, even though I did not know a single basketball term.  I’m glad my mom inspired me to try my best at all times.” Banks also throws in track and field. “I have been doing both sports since freshman year, and have grew in both.” Her best sports memory is Senior Night. “It felt so good to be on the court and celebrate my four years of playing basketball. The positive vibes felt so good.” Banks works at Dunkin' Donuts in Elizabeth, and her hobbies include spending time with family and friends.
