KENILWORTH, NJ – St. Theresa School celebrated Culture Day as part of Catholic Schools Week on January 29, and January 30, 2020. Students had the opportunity to dress in attire representative of their culture and bring in food that was native to their heritage. They also were required to prepare a short presentation to teach their classmates information and facts about the culture they come from. There was an extensive range of countries covered which included: Indonesia, Egypt, Cuba, China, Poland, Scotland, Portugal, Korea, India, the Philippines, Croatia, Australia, Lebanon, Italy, Ireland, Peru, Mexico, Guatemala, Nigeria along with many other countries. The students had a wonderful educational experience and enjoyed eating all the diverse foods. Principal Sister Louann Fantauzza was thrilled with the event. "I am so incredibly pleased with the level of participation for culture day which truly showcased the cultural diversity of our school. It was such a great experience to help the students learn respect and appreciation for different cultures, as they pave the way to build a better world for the future."
