KENILWORTH, NJ – Monday, December 9, Elisa Capra was recognized by the Kenilworth Board of Education at its Board of Education meeting. Elisa serves the Harding School as the Student Council President. She became involved in student council in the fourth grade when she was elected as the treasurer on the Executive Board. “Elisa showed such dedication and hard work in this position” stated Assistant Principal Ronald Bubnowski. “She kept impeccable treasurer records and was a huge part in the success of student council.” In fifth grade Elisa represented her homeroom class and brought her previous experience and knowledge to help make the student council successful again. “She helped guide the newcomers, showed up every meeting with a smile, and proved to be irreplaceable” praises Bubnowski. At the start of her sixth-grade year Elisa worked diligently on her campaign to become president of the school and is noted for delivering a memorable speech to the student body. Bubnowski is extremely proud of the work Elisa has done and the role model she has become to all students. “Elisa brings her best during each student council meeting. She even has dedicated recess and time at home to work towards student council goals. Elisa will do a wonderful job leading the student council this year. We are lucky to work with her all year.”
