KENILWORTH, NJ - The Kenilworth Farmers' Market is set to open July 11 and continue every Saturday with a final date no later than November 7. The market will be open between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church located at 455 Boulevard, Kenilworth. Please see the new guidelines drafted by the Board of Health.

Policy and Guidelines: Vendors

As a Farmers' Market is similar to a Grocery Store in selling food goods and may be considered an essential service as per Executive Order No. 107 it is permitted to be open in similar fashion with certain guidelines as provided and outlined below:

Vendors, employees, visitors, and other individuals should wear face coverings in any setting where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain, except where doing so would inhibit that individual’s health, or where the individual is under two years of age.

Visitors shall be refused service if out of compliance with current mask-wearing guidelines.

Vendors shall install a physical barrier, such as a shield guard, between visitors and employees wherever feasible or otherwise ensuring six feet of distance between those individuals.

Vendors are expected to be spread out across the grounds to provide additional space for shopping and to allow customers to maintain social distancing as per guidelines.

Demarcate and post signs that denote six feet of spacing in areas where lines may form, communal areas, and other applicable areas, whenever possible; any demarcation should be temporary as the Farmers Market is a weekly event, not daily.

Vendors should require infection control practices, such as regular hand washing, and proper tissue usage and disposal, this may be achieved by providing employees break time for repeated handwashing or use of other hand sanitizing solution throughout the farmers market.

Provide hand sanitizer and/or wipes to staff and customers.

Arrange for contactless pay options, pickup, or delivery of goods wherever possible.

Frequently sanitize high-touch areas like credit card machines, keypads and counters.

Vendors should place conspicuous signage when possible, alerting staff and customers to the required 6 feet of distance.

If Vendors or Employees have symptoms consistent with COVID19 (such as fever or a cough), have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or are undergoing quarantine for potential exposure to COVID-19, do not report to work.

Vendors shall not permit any sampling of food products at this time.

Vendors must comply with the 2020 regulations of the Kenilworth’s Farmers’ Market, New Jersey Council of Farmers and Communities, and with all Federal, State and Local Health, Safety, and Labor standards. This document may not be all-encompassing and is subject to change dependent on any and all current stipulations that may be dictated by current Governing Bodies such as Federal, State, and Local entities.
