KENILWORTH, NJ – Jaime Smith, a Kenilworth native and owner of her own catering business Dishes At Your Wishes will host a free online introductory cooking class “Everything Pumpkin” on Sunday, September 13, from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class is free but space is limited.

Smith grew up on North Michigan Avenue and moved to Pennsylvania in 1992. She now lives on a farm in central PA with her husband, black lab, and numerous farm animals while spending time cooking for her family, gardening, and working part-time as an elementary school reading aid. On the farm not only does she grow her own vegetables, but the family also raises beef, pork, and chicken to sell. She uses what she grows on the farm to prepare in her dishes.

“I love putting smiles on people's faces with my food and food brings people together because everyone loves to eat.” Smith's passion for cooking came from her mother-in-law.  “She loved to cook for her family and so do I.” In 2017 Smith decided to start her own catering business and has been at it ever since. At the moment she caters to groups of no more than approximately 100 because it is just herself. Since she is a small caterer she only offers buffet service or food stations. “Maybe when the business has grown I can offer sit down meals too! I love to cook all kinds of food but tend to favor good old home cooking like chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, pulled pork BBQ, baked macaroni and cheese, etc.”
