The Michigan Deli (aka “the Newly Established Michigan Deli”) is located at 219 Market Street right before Roselle Park. The deli has been in Kenilworth for over 55 years but it was recently purchased by four partners - Jim, Leo, Nick, and Sue – who run the family-owned business with over 50 years of restaurant experience combined. The menu offers a wide variety of options including some of their most popular items such as subs, cheesesteaks, reubens, burgers, and much more. The deli has also started preparing dinners to serve 4-6 people that have included baked chicken, chicken parmigiana, ham, stuffed peppers, and macaroni and cheese. Customers can order items via takeout or via delivery through Grub Hub. The new owners took over right before the pandemic and have remained opened to continue serving customers. “We did not close during the pandemic because our customers wanted us to stay open,” said Sue. “We are ready, willing, and able, and we try to accommodate everyone. The town and people of Kenilworth are awesome. Awesome describes them the best. It is a great town with lots of warmth and familiarity. We hit the jackpot being here.”
