Star of India Restaurant has been a part of the Kenilworth community for 40 years. The restaurant, located at 496 Boulevard, is “known for its outstanding Indian cuisine.” According to the website, the restaurant is also “known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high-quality fresh ingredients.” The menu includes a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes such as appetizers, soups, salads, and tandoori specialties from the clay oven. Customers can also enjoy kebabs, Indian breads such as naan, and chicken, lamb, seafood, and vegetable dishes. According to the owner, Armaan Popli, some of the most popular items that customers order are the chicken tikka masala and the tandoori chicken. The restaurant typically has the option to dine in however during the pandemic, items can be ordered via takeout. “Business has been slow but our regular customers have still been coming,” said Popli.
