KENILWORTH, NJ – Debt collection activity at the Blackthorn Restaurant and Irish Pub located at 651 North Michigan Avenue continues.

The State of New Jersey Division of Taxation on October 15, 2019, issued a Warrant of Execution to levy upon the rights and credits, money, effects, chattels of the Blackthorn by entering a certificate of debt in the Superior Court of the State of New Jersey by reason of failure to pay taxes penalties, interest, cost of collections, and recovery fees in the amount of $65,491.57. 

On October 17, 2019 the State of New Jersey’s Collection and Enforcement activity, who are responsible for collecting delinquent and deficient taxes from businesses and individuals, served a warrant on the Kenilworth ABC clerk at the Kenilworth town hall executing a levy of the Blackthorn’s liquor license which was received and accepted by the borough clerk.
