KENILWORTH, NJ – As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise, Brianna Cesaro, a senior at Montclair State University majoring in Fashion Studies, is sewing protective masks to donate to hospitals and first responders. She started this project knowing the extreme needs and shortage of face masks due to the pandemic.
Cesaro purchased the fabric herself and is even putting her brother to work attaching labels. Her proud mother Gina Parducci-Cesaro, local artist and teacher, commented, “It’s going slow with only one machine, however, we have all been dedicated to trying to save the world one mask at a time.”
Cesaro has been vigorously working up to 14 hours a day. Able to make a difference in her community, she stated, “I’m happy to be able to help those who help us.”
