KENILWORTH, NJ – Children and parents came to DiMario Park last Saturday November 2, for a fun filled yoga class to benefit the Harding School sixth grade class. Owner of House Yoga Christa Lapinig Recio led a 40-minute class for children and adults that introduced new poses and yoga games. The class did one long downward facing dog tunnel where the kids got to crawl through, and a circle of tree poses where everyone gently swayed side to side but supported each other not to fall off balance. After the class there was cider, donuts, and cookies available for the participants. “It was so nice to see familiar faces in the neighborhood and their kids come out for Family Fun Yoga” Recio beamed. “I think it brought some people out of their comfort zones, got them moving and engaging with one another, and it was all for a good cause. We were able to raise $200 for Harding School six graders.”
