KENILWORTH, NJ – Poochapalooza, a fundraiser for ten-year old Molly Wright was held Sunday, November 17, at the VFW. Molly suffers from transverse myelitis and needs a service dog to help her walk. About 135 people came out to the event which included friends, family, and residents of Union County. The event was a success and Poochapalooza raised $4,705 for Molly’s service dog. The organization 4 Paws for Ability will pair her with a dog once she has raised $17,000. The event included a dinner buffet, dessert, drinks, door prizes, a tricky tray, and music by the Nutley School of Music.
Molly’s aunt Stacie Holzinger who put on the entire event was overjoyed with the amount of love and support. “We have such an amazing family and group of friends. There are just so many people to thank. So many people who donated baskets, helped set up or clean up, donated money, gave love and support. Special thanks to the Nutley School of Music for the amazing entertainment and thank you to the Kenilworth VFW and Kathy Curren for all your help. I am forever grateful for you all” Holzinger beamed.
